London duo House of Molly are punky disruptors with a healthy sense of irreverence. They centre Blackness and queerness, embrace glamour and hedonism, and fully endorse the transportive power of dance music. They take their sound seriously but also believe in having fun. On one level, their band name is a portmanteau of their individual first names: Mel and Holly. On another, it's a playful nod to the Molly House: a sex-positive meeting place for queer men and gender-nonconforming people in the 18th and 19th centuries. And on another, well, House of Molly are happy to leave that to your imaginations.
